Galitzenklamm Via Ferrata

Another journey past Lienz, on a beautifully sunny but windy day which was no good for flying, so we stopped for another Via Ferrata.   This one wasn't on top of any high peaks, so no long hike up or dangerous snowfields for us today.   In fact we did two short routes, both in a narrow canyon next to a raging waterfall.

One of the routes were rated D like the one we had done a few days before near Kossen.  However this one seemed a tiny bit harder.  Perhaps it's just the different rock and the way the cables had us off balance.

It had a very nice descent route as well but by the end we concluded that it was fairly strenuous the whole way round!

The second route was fairly easy, if a bit slick on the rocks, right above the waterfalls so it was very loud, and a really cool location!

The via ferrata continued much, much higher above us, but we decided to leave that very hard E/F route for another day....
